The Arecibo wastewater treatment plant treats the sanitary and industrial wastewater of this municipality.
This plant is designed to treat an average hydraulic load of 10 million gallons per day (MGD) and a maximum hydraulic load of 20 MGD.
To increase the pumping capacity of the plant, Cortes Industrial was chosen for the construction and installation of the suction and discharge piping, in addition to the installation and operation of a new pumping unit.
